Following the tremendous success of its first salon at The Camp in Costa Mesa, just opened a second, highly anticipated location right here in Old Towne Orange at 146 South Glassell.

This is great news for patrons seeking a high-quality salon experience minus exposure to toxic fumes and other potentially unhealthy aspects found at traditional nail salons. That’s because Lollipop Nail Studio uses non-toxic, organic products, as well as adheres to the strictest standards of sanitation and eco-friendly services.

In fact, Lollipop Nail Studio makes its own homemade organic scrubs, soaps and oils that have no colorants, chemicals or dyes, says co-owner Jackie Dalton.

“When my daughter was four, she wanted to get her nails done at a salon and I said ‘no,’ because of the heavy chemicals from the acrylics. Then I started doing research about healthy alternatives. That’s when the idea for Lollipop Nail Studio began in 2011. Our clients appreciate the old-school experience here that’s like family.”

One of Jackie’s longtime customers, Anjelina Melvin, of Floral Park, fell in love with the concept and initiated the idea of becoming partners in Old Towne. After finding the perfect location on South Glassell, they thoroughly transformed the space into a warm and welcoming shop where the aromas of four essential elements abound: almond, rose, camellia and geranium.

“All of Lollipop’s signature blends feature a mix of the finest-quality organic and natural ingredients,” says Jackie. “Our manicures are waterless, performed with hot towels and custom-created oils.”

Nourishing, non-toxic nail polish is available in many colors. Jackie says the “5-Free” nail lacquers are made without (or are free of) five of the common chemicals like Formaldehyde found in most nail polishes. All stainless-steel tools are sterilized in a medical-grade autoclave machine like those used by doctors and dentists.

“We use disposable plastic inserts in the tubs,” says Jackie. “We also use brand-new files, sticks and buffers that each client can take home with them.”

Available for purchase, Lollipop’s proprietary products include Heavenly Himalayan Hand & Body Scrub, Himalayan Bath Salts, Outta Sight Bath Soak, Illuminating Hand and Foot Oil, Radical Rose Cuticle Oil and Groovy Geranium Healing Balm.

Lollipop Nail Studio is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 7 pm, and on Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. (closed on Mondays).
